So we treat that as the first question, not a footer link. This is who can see what, and who decides.
Coach only notes stay coach only
A coach can record a private note about a player so the next session is better than the last. Those notes are visible to the coaching staff of that team and to nobody else. They are not shown to parents, not shown to other teams, and not part of what moves with a child when they change club.
A parent sees their own child
A parent account is scoped to the children linked to it. Availability, minutes, reports, photos and messages are all filtered to those children. There is no screen where a parent can browse another family's record, and no setting that opens one.
Ratings and coaches' scores stay with the coaching team
Coaches keep private match-day scores and notes so that selection and coaching stay honest. None of it is ever shown to a parent, in any form, and there is no setting that shares it. What a family sees of a match report is the highlights and the next focus for their own child, and the only rating language they ever meet is the assessment tiers: Emerging, Developing, Confident, Strong, Leader.
Every new club has to ask
A child has one record, so moving club does not mean starting again. That only works if the parent controls it. When a second club asks for a child's record, the request goes to the guardian, and nothing is shared until they approve it.
Consent can be withdrawn
Approval is not permanent. A guardian can withdraw a club's access from their settings, and that club stops seeing the record from then on. Photo and video consent is separate again, and off until a guardian turns it on.
The welfare officer is a person, not a master key
A club welfare officer sees reports raised to them, with child safety reports at the top, and can act on them. That role does not carry blanket access to every child's development record. Where a welfare case needs a record, it is asked for through the coach who holds it.
Chat has a membership, not a phone number
Team chat is the parents and staff a coach approved. Nobody hands out a phone number to join, adults cannot message a child privately, and when someone leaves the team their access to the thread goes with them.
