It fits the week you already have
Not four abstract steps. The actual rhythm of a grassroots team, and where each person turns up in it.
Pick the squad
Availability comes in from parents. Playera shows who is fit, who is away, and who has not played enough minutes.
Run training
A session plan on your phone at the side of the pitch, with a clock that keeps the drills honest.
Match day
Team sheet, formation, minutes and substitutions tracked as they happen. Parents follow from the touchline or the car.
Write it down
The report takes a minute. What each player did stays on their record and follows them to the next club.

Where do you come into this?
I coach a team
Set up a squad in a minute, invite parents with one link, and run your first match day this weekend.I'm a parent
See what's on, reply in a tap, and follow your child's season. One record, however many clubs they play for.I play
Your card, your minutes, your goals for the season, and the badges you actually earned. We run a club
Adopt it across every age group, set one safeguarding standard, and stop the same child existing twice. What it actually does
Squad and availability
One tap from a parent, and Tuesday's guesswork disappears.

Match day, live
Minutes, subs and scorers as they happen, with the fixture already imported from FA Full-Time.

Development records
Notes and goals for each child, shared with their parent when you choose.

One ID per child
Move club, keep the record. Nobody starts from a blank page again.
Team chat that replaces the group
Same conversation, without handing out phone numbers. Only the parents and staff you approved, and it ends when they leave.

Training sessions
Plan Thursday from a library of 71 drills, then run it with a clock that keeps the blocks honest.

Why it’s free
- Team features are free for every team, forever. That is not a trial and not a starter tier.
- It works because some families choose Parent Premium for their own child. That is the whole model.
- Premium is bought by one family for one child. It can never lock a coach, a squad, or another parent out of anything.
Pitchero’s free forever plan is limited to one team. Spond is genuinely free and funded by brand partnerships shown inside the app. Veo’s free camera requires a minimum twelve month team subscription and every add-on. Checked 10 September 2026.
- No adverts, now or later.
- Nothing about a child leaves Playera without their parent saying yes.
- No cap on squad size.
- No card to start.
Adults write notes about children here
So we treat that as the first question, not a footer link. Coach only notes stay coach only. Parents see their own child and nobody else’s. A parent approves every new club that asks for their child’s record, and can withdraw it.

A young product cannot show you twelve million users. It can show you that it is alive.
The honest answers
Will parents actually use it?
Some will not, and the app is built for that. A coach can run availability, selection and reports whether or not every parent joins. Parents who do join reply in a tap rather than in a group chat at 22:40.
Is it really free, or free for now?
Really free, for teams, permanently. The paid thing is Parent Premium, bought by a family for their own child. If that ever changed for teams we would say so loudly and in advance, not quietly on a pricing page.
What happens to my child's data?
It stays with the people you approve. Coach only notes are never shown to parents. Every club that wants to add your child has to ask you first, and you can withdraw it later.
Half our parents barely use apps.
Everything a parent needs works in a phone browser with no install, and a coach can update availability for anyone who tells them at training instead.
We already use WhatsApp. Why change?
Playera has team chat built in, so it replaces the group. The difference is who is in it. Membership is the parents and staff you approved, nobody shares a phone number to join, and when someone leaves the team the thread goes with them.
Set up your squad before Saturday
Free for every team, forever. No card, no cap, no adverts.
